Yoga (Ages 12+)

Yoga is an ancient practice used to balance the mind and body through exercise, meditation (focused thoughts), and controlled breathing. Yoga is the perfect way to start your morning routine, and/or escape from the busy week-to-week grind. More specifically, Yoga will increase flexibility, reduce stress, improve mental health, increase strength, reduce anxiety, improve balance and dexterity, boost immunity, improve cardiovascular functioning, improve posture and body awareness, and will help you focus on becoming a better YOU.

We host Yoga every Friday morning beginning at 10:00AM with certified instructor Ms. Holly Harman. The cost is $10.00 per class, and no previous experience is needed.

Here’s a message directly from the instructor:

“Good day. I am an ACE certified Group Fitness Instructor and 200 HR CYT (Certified Yoga Teacher). I have been teaching various group fitness classes at the Riverside YMCA in Cumberland for almost 11 years and have been teaching yoga for the last five. I became interested in yoga after taking a fellow instructor’s Power Flow class. I am currently working on a Mindfulness Certification and look forward to incorporating this knowledge into our practice. As an instructor, I strive to share the mind & body benefits yoga has to offer everyone by providing a supportive space for my participants to learn and grow through their practice. I love the connection and self-awareness that yoga brings and am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your yoga journey.” – Mrs. Holly Harman
