Women’s Self-Defense Seminar – Our women’s self-defense class targets women of any age and applies a common sense approach to principals of verbal defusing, “nice-guy” tactics, and escaping with one’s life. Occurring every few months, this class heightens a woman’s awareness of her surroundings and strengthens her capabilities if an attack ensues. Verbal defusing is also taught, incorporating passive self-defense stances, hand positions, and passive movements.
Physical self-defense methods are primarily taught to ready the body for defense in all six ranges of fighting. Students also learn how to interact with a training partner and how to signal to him/her that a particular training technique hurts (students do this by tapping out). Third-party intervention, as well as anti-rape techniques are usually covered during these highly impactful, potentially life-saving training seminars.
This class is extremely popular for female high school teens and college students of any age! The next seminar takes place on Friday, April 27th at 6:30PM.
